Representation Accreditation Scheme

As a Students’ Union, we are led by you. You are our change makers, policy drivers and you ensure that our Students’ Union and University works for you. Whether you are a Course Rep, Member of Union Council or on SET, we really value the time you put into making our Students’ Union the best it can be.

For this year, we are opening up the opportunity to be accredited for your hard work, expanding the Course Rep Accreditation scheme for all representatives, in whatever function. So, if you are a: Course Rep, Member of Union Council, on Scrutiny Panel or Democratic Procedures Committee, represent student groups at SET or an departmental Equality and Diversity Champion…read on!

You can be accredited as Bronze, Silver or Gold, and for each level, will be expected to get a minimum of points from Part One of the scheme. In Part One, you will receive 1 point for a variety of activities core to the role. You will need to get at least eight points from this section to receive your accreditation. In part two, you can build your points around how you wish to develop your skills.

Bronze: All you need to do is get eight points from Part One –simples!

Silver: You should get at least eight points from Part One, and then at least twenty points from Part Two

Gold: You should get at least eight points from Part One, and then at least thirty points from Part Two
