Christian Aid works globally for profound change that eradicates the causes of poverty, striving to achieve equality, dignity and freedom for all, regardless of faith or nationality. We provide urgent, practical and effective assistance where need is great, tackling the effects of poverty as well as its root causes.
Locally we work with local groups, churches and individuals in raising the awareness of our global and campaigning work and in raising funds to support that work.
The Greenbelt arts festival is a key event in Christian Aid’s calendar. It enables us to get our message across to festival-goers who (like us) are passionate about putting their faith into action to challenge global poverty. Volunteers are vital to making our presence at Greenbelt a success.
As a Greenbelt festival volunteer you will be part of a team and make a practical contribution to Christian Aid’s work. You’ll be engaging with festival-goers and getting our message across – and in between shifts you’ll also get some time to enjoy the festival.
What will I do?
How much time do I give?
Volunteers are required to work a shift of around 6 hours each day as allocated, between the hours of 8am and 10pm. Shifts can be swapped around but this must be done by team members in agreement with the on-site volunteer manager.
You will be required to arrive on-site at Greenbelt Festival, near Kettering, between 2pm and 8.30pm on Thursday 24th August.
You will need to be on-site until the end of your last shift, which may be at 9pm on Monday 28th August. Volunteers will be able to stay onsite until Tuesday 29th August, and those doing so will be asked to assist with the breakdown and clearing of the Christian Aid venues on the Monday night / Tuesday morning.
