Monday 26th - Friday 30th September
Freshers Week is a ritual. When you get to uni, one of the first things you do is head out to the fair to meet friends, join groups and nab yourself offers and freebies from top companies. It runs from Monday 26th - Friday 30th September, and the calendar is jam-packed with things to do and people to see. Uni isn't all about drinking, either, which is why almost all of these events aren't centred around alcohol. So, what's in store then?
Fresh Fair - Monday 26th & Tuesday 27th September
Our Fresh Fair is so big, it's spread over two days! The extravaganza overtakes the entire Students' Union building and spills out into a marquee outside. Pop down on Monday and Tuesday for the busiest days of the year, get some free stuff (you'll always need the pens) and enjoy! Last years photos offer you a sneak preview.
Give it a Go - Wednesday 28th September
Wednesday sees the launch of this year's Give It A Go initiative. From film nights to boot camps, we're putting on more of the events you want, and some you didn't know you wanted, too! Fancy it?
Find Your Campus Festival - Thursday 29th September
One of the most exciting things about starting University is getting to know your campus. Seeing as you’ll be spending quite a lot of time here in the next three years or so, we’ve designed a truly unique programme of events to help you get to grips with your new campus straight away.
To be held in International Welcome Week and Freshers Week, you can expect everything from learning about bee keeping at Brookfield campus to Gallery Tours at the Attenborough Arts Centre. Find Your Campus Festival will be the perfect opportunity to not only explore our beautiful campus in great detail, but to meet new people and try new things. Don’t miss out on the fun!
Hello Leicester Festival - Friday 30th September
For the first time, we’re hosting Hello Leicester Festival; showcasing the best the city has to offer and giving you the chance to discover what Leicester is truly about.
We’ll be bringing the best local food and drink, live music and entertainment to campus during Fresher’s Week. We’re talking a vintage fair, poster sale, climbing wall, fun fair games and crazy golf, with more still to be announced.
